Review by hotel critic
During my recent visit to Imperial, I found it to be an experience worth reflecting on as a tea plantation owner seeking a balance between luxury and value. The hotel is strategically located, making it easy to explore famous Jalan Alor right outside the door and utilising the nearby MRT for hassle-free transport-even in the wet weather typical of Sri Lanka's central highlands. The staff was attentive, promptly switching our rooms when we encountered an issue with the AC, which exemplified their commitment to comfort. Housekeeping and laundry services were well-managed, ensuring convenience during our stay. While some may argue that the costs reflect high-end amenities, I appreciated the overall value offered. Although it's marketed as a luxury stay, it surprisingly aligns with practicality for travelers like us. In a world where tea experiences can be lavish and overpriced, I would definitely consider Imperial as my top choice for future trips to experience a slice of this vibrant city while being wise about my spending.
